Essex Property Trust is seeking a Porter to maintain the grounds, curb appeal, and common areas at Camarillo Oaks Apartments in Camarillo, CA. The role supports asset preservation and resident satisfaction through cleaning, maintenance, and timely issue reporting.

This full-time onsite position requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Expect a five-day workweek with some weekend coverage and potential housing discounts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Custodial or general maintenance experience preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain exterior areas: sidewalks, parking lots, landscaping.
• Clean and stock all common areas: lobbies, restrooms, gyms.
• Report maintenance or safety issues to supervisor/manager.
• Empty trash receptacles and assist with bulk trash/recycling.
• Interact with residents professionally and assist as needed.
• Perform seasonal tasks: snow/ice removal, leaf blowing, power washing.
• Follow PPE safety guidelines and report hazards immediately.
• On-site role with five-day workweek, some weekend coverage.
• Possess ability to lift over 50 pounds and work outdoors.
