Essex Property Trust is seeking a Porter at Camarillo Oaks Apartments in Camarillo, CA. The role focuses on maintaining exterior areas, common spaces, and amenities to preserve asset value and provide a quality living environment for residents.

You will report safety hazards, assist residents, and perform seasonal tasks while adhering to safety and PPE guidelines. A valid driver's license and basic computer/smart device use are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Some custodial or general maintenance experience is preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license due to golf cart operations on site.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to utilize a personal smart device for apps related to property operations and communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of exterior areas including sidewalks and parking lots.
• Clean and maintain common areas such as lobbies, hallways, and restrooms.
• Ensure common areas are stocked with supplies (toilet paper, soap, towels).
• Clean windows, doors, and glass surfaces to a polished appearance.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors or managers.
• Interact with residents and assist with directions or items as needed.
• Perform seasonal tasks like snow removal, leaf blowing, or pressure washing exterior surfaces.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE.
• Other duties as assigned.
