Job summary

ManpowerGroup's client is seeking a Printer Repair Technician to join their field support team in Rochester, NY. You will provide on-site service to configure, install, and repair printer hardware and components, diagnosing issues with logical methods and clear communication with customers.

Qualifications

• Onsite, customer-facing experience with strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
• Technical/hardware repair experience with aptitude for learning new technology.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, including comfort working with tools and alignment apparatus.
• Ability to troubleshoot printer issues and, when applicable, work with third-party software, networks, and switches.
• Ability to bend, crawl, stoop, sit, lift, and move up to 50 pounds; willingness to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime and participate in non-traditional workdays, holidays, and shift work.

Responsibilities

• Provide reactive, on-customer-site service to configure, install, and repair printer-related hardware and associated components.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot printer hardware problems using logical, systematic technical/mechanical methods.
• Support customers by managing critical service events, escalating when needed, and assisting in technical action plans to remediate PC/print issues.
• Balance and prioritize multiple activities and service commitments while meeting contractual and business expectations.
• Deliver customer-ready solutions by aligning technical work with the customer's business needs and HP's contractual commitments.
