Job summary

System One is seeking a Payroll Coordinator for an onsite contract assignment in Robinson, IL. You will oversee daily time-punch edits, process bi-weekly payroll for hourly staff and weekly payroll for contingent workers, and ensure SOX controls are in place.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and confidentiality, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with payroll systems. This is a 4–6 month engagement with immediate start possible.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of payroll and accounting principles (GAAP) preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to address all levels.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
• 1–2 years automated time/attendance or general accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the editing and verification of hourly time punches into the Hershey payroll process.
• Process bi-weekly plant payroll for hourly and weekly payroll for contingent workforce.
• Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley controls are in place and functioning annually.
• Process payroll deductions and additional earnings timely.
• Assist tracking hourly attendance within plant policy.
• Respond to payroll questions onsite and via Service Now.
• Process garnishments and set up new vendors; provide payroll data for ad hoc requests.
• Assist with wage updates by updating IS/HR spreadsheets to meet deadlines.
