Job summary

PRI Global in Robinson, IL is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to support payroll operations for about 950 hourly employees. The role reports to the Plant Controller and ensures accurate, timely payroll processing while maintaining applicable controls.

You will oversee timekeeping, process bi-weekly payroll, manage deductions and garnishments, support reporting, and serve as a payroll expert for questions, with occasional weekend/holiday work when deadlines arise.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1-2 years of experience with an automated time and attendance system and/or general accounting experience preferred.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate with employees and stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Oversee editing and verification of daily time punches for the hourly workforce in the payroll system.
• Process bi-weekly payroll for plant hourly employees.
• Process bi-weekly payroll accruals and weekly payroll for the contingent workforce.
• Ensure SOX controls are properly implemented and functioning.
• Process payroll deductions and additional earnings accurately and on time.
• Assist with tracking hourly attendance per plant policies.
• Provide onsite payroll support and respond to inquiries via ServiceNow.
• Handle garnishment orders and remittances, and establish new vendors as needed.
• Serve as payroll SME for ad hoc requests and payroll data analysis.
• Maintain wage updates and confidentiality of payroll data.
