Job summary

IPG/Better Packages seeks a Field Service Technician to perform on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs at customer locations. You will ensure equipment uptime, support production needs, and represent the company in the field with strong communication and hands-on skills.

You will diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, execute preventive maintenance, and assist with field testing of new products. Travel up to 30% and ability to lift heavy equipment are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; technical associate degree preferred.
• Experience diagnosing electrical/mechanical faults at customer sites.
• Proficient with hand and diagnostic tools and documenting service actions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain expert knowledge of IPG/Better Packages products and communicate value during site visits.
• Perform on-site installation, repair, and preventive maintenance; diagnose issues using tools and docs.
• Establish and execute PM programs for assigned end-users to ensure reliability.
• Assist with field testing, evaluation, and feedback on new products and prototypes.
• Follow field service procedures: RMA requests, work orders, and service records.
