Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in a technical field preferred; equivalent field service experience considered.
• Knowledge of electrical and electromechanical systems; able to diagnose faults at customer sites.
• Basic mechanical skills to disassemble and reassemble components safely.
• Experience with packaging automation systems preferred.
• Proficient in PC applications, especially Microsoft Office Suite for reporting.
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as multimeters.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical issues to non-technical staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, repair, and preventive maintenance on customer IPG/Better Packages equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and automation-related issues using testing tools and docs.
• Provide on-the-job training to customer maintenance teams as needed.
• Schedule and execute PM programs to ensure equipment reliability.
• Document service actions, issue RMAs, and maintain accurate service records.
• Support senior technicians on complex field jobs and escalations.
• Travel frequently (up to 30%) and lift/move equipment as required.
