Job summary

Via is seeking an Associate General Manager to lead the onsite operations team in Sacramento. You will manage a group of local field operators, driving continuous improvements and growth of services, with a 4-5 day in-person workweek and potential early mornings or evenings.

You will oversee fleet decisions, driver scheduling, and compliance while fostering a collaborative team environment and strong community engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 4–6 years in operations management.
• Willingness to relocate to Sacramento, CA.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily onsite operations to ensure safe, reliable transport for riders.
• Make real-time decisions on fleet, driver supply, compliance, and rider needs.
• Manage drivers' full lifecycle: scheduling, PTO approvals, inquiries, performance.
• Schedule drivers to match demand and vehicle availability.
• Act as the operational bridge between city partners, drivers, unions, and community groups.
• Use data to diagnose service issues and implement efficiency improvements.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable policies and regulations.
• Lead, coach and develop an engaged driver team.
