Job summary

Via is seeking a General Manager to lead our Operations team in Sacramento. You will oversee daily onsite operations with a team of field operators, ensuring safe, reliable, and accessible transportation for riders.

You will drive real-time decisions on fleet and driver needs, manage the full driver lifecycle, and coordinate with city partners to meet community goals, using data to improve efficiency and rider experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 4–6 years of operations/management experience.
• Independent self-starter in fast-paced environments.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Detail-oriented executor with autonomy.
• Proven leadership of support teams.
• Willingness to relocate to Sacramento, CA.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily onsite operations to ensure safe, reliable, and accessible transport for riders.
• Make real-time decisions on fleet, driver supply, compliance, and rider needs.
• Manage full driver lifecycle: scheduling, PTO approvals, inquiries, performance conversations.
• Schedule drivers to maintain adequate vehicle availability to meet demand.
• Bridge operations between city partners, drivers, unions, and local orgs.
• Use data to diagnose problems and implement efficiency improvements.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant policies, laws, and regulations.
• Coach and develop a high-performing driver team.
