Job summary

Via Transportation, Inc. in Sacramento is seeking an Operations Manager to lead daily onsite operations, ensuring safe, reliable and accessible transportation for riders. You will manage drivers, respond to real-time challenges, and use data to improve service quality.

Based in Sacramento and onsite 4–5 days a week, you will translate community feedback into concrete operational changes, collaborating with city partners and Via central teams to elevate rider and driver experience.

Qualifications

• Operationally experienced with a background in people management, logistics, customer service, or process-oriented work.
• Relationship-oriented with clear communication and dependability.
• Hands-on and proactive, preferring field work to solve problems where they occur.
• Strategic and tactical, balancing immediate fixes with long-range improvements.
• Mission-driven to expand access to transportation and improve community mobility.
• Based in Sacramento and willing to be onsite 4–5 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Run the daily onsite operations to provide riders with safe, reliable, and accessible transportation.
• Make real-time, data-informed decisions about fleet, driver supply, compliance, and rider needs.
• Guide and support drivers, building trust and ensuring they can deliver great service.
• Turn rider and community feedback into tangible improvements and coordinate with internal teams.
• Use data and technology to diagnose performance and implement efficiency enhancements.
• Serve as the operational bridge between city partners, drivers, and Via central teams.
