Job summary

Via is seeking an Associate General Manager on its Operations team to oversee daily onsite operations, lead a team of local drivers, and drive continuous improvements for safe, reliable transportation in Sacramento. This role requires hands-on leadership and strong communication across partners and drivers.

You will manage driver lifecycle, make real-time operational decisions, and ensure compliance with policies while using data to optimize performance and rider experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4–6 years of operations management experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Sacramento, CA.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily onsite operations to ensure safe, reliable service.
• Make real-time decisions on fleet, driver supply, and compliance.
• Manage driver lifecycle including scheduling, PTO, and performance discussions.
• Coordinate with city partners, unions, and local organizations.
• Use data to diagnose problems and improve rider experience.
• Lead and develop a high-performing driver team.
