Job summary

Via is seeking a Field Manager on its Operations team to lead daily on-site operations, manage real-time challenges, and elevate rider and driver experience. This role is fully in-person with onsite 4–5 days per week in Sacramento.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, field-focused, and capable of making data-informed decisions while building strong relationships with drivers, riders, and city partners to ensure reliable service.

Qualifications

• Experience in people management, logistics, or customer-service roles.
• Ability to work hands-on in the field and resolve issues on site.
• Strong relationship-building with drivers, riders, and partners.
• Strategic thinker with ability to translate feedback into improvements.
• Based in Sacramento and able to be onsite 4–5 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Run the daily onsite operations to deliver safe, reliable, and accessible transportation.
• Make real-time decisions about fleet, driver supply, compliance, and rider needs.
• Guide and support drivers, addressing concerns and ensuring quality service.
• Turn rider and community feedback into tangible improvements.
• Use data to diagnose issues and implement efficiency improvements.
• Bridge operations between city partners, drivers, and Via central teams.
