Job summary

Via is seeking a General Manager to lead the Operations team onsite in Baton Rouge. You will manage a team of local field operators, drive daily operational excellence, and implement continuous quality improvements to deliver safe, reliable transportation.

You will use data to optimize fleet and driver supply, oversee the full employee lifecycle for drivers, coordinate with partners and unions, and coach your team to achieve performance goals while complying with all policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 4–6 years of operations management experience.
• Independent self-starter who thrives in fast-paced settings.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily onsite operations of our service to ensure safe, reliable, accessible transportation.
• Make real-time decisions about fleet, driver supply, compliance, and rider needs.
• Oversee the full driver lifecycle, scheduling, PTO, inquiries, and performance conversations.
• Schedule drivers to align vehicle availability with demand.
• Coordinate with city partners, drivers, unions, and community leaders.
• Use data to diagnose problems and implement efficiency improvements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
• Lead and develop an engaged team of drivers.
