Job summary

Asset Living is hiring an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial functions of a multifamily housing community. You will lead onsite staff, manage leasing, maintenance, administration, and risk, ensuring compliance with policies and fair housing guidelines.

The role focuses on maximizing cash flow, posting all charges, and maintaining accurate records while delivering resident satisfaction and a safe, compliant community environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years experience in housing industry.
• Ability to understand and perform all onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Posting and reconciling payments and income from applicants, residents, and non-current residents accurately and timely.
• Processing and reconciling daily accounts receivable.
• Monitoring and following up on bad debt including late notices, resident and guarantor contact, and evictions.
• Helping the property meet budgeted revenues, expenses, and Net Operating Income.
• Posting charges to resident accounts and bill backs of utilities where applicable.
• Handling end-of-month closing procedures and reporting.
• Maintaining accurate records; auditing resident files for accuracy.
• Showing, leasing, and moving in prospective residents.
• Onsite leadership, supervising staff, and enforcing company policies.

Education
