Job summary

Aspen Grove Behavioral Hospital, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a full-time CODER – Medical Records Specialist in a hospital setting in Orem, UT. This non-remote role entails coding discharged patients, preparing charts for discharge, and abstracting data. Education requirements include a high school diploma; CPC/CCA/CCS/RHIA/RHIT certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of CODER experience in Medical Records preferred.
• CPC, CCA, CCS, RHIA or RHIT certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the medical records department with clerical, technical, and related tasks.
• Code discharged patients' accounts.
• Prepare patient charts for discharge and assemble components in correct order.
• Assign and abstract medical and consultant data.
