Job summary

Roxbury Treatment Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc., in Shippensburg, PA, is hiring a full-time Professional Coder and Medical Records Clerk. The role involves chart assembly, coding, and abstracting discharged records in a busy behavioral health facility.

The position requires RHIT or CPC certification or equivalent, HS diploma, and experience with 3M Encoder, Excel, and MS4 is a plus. Monday–Friday schedule with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Certification as Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent is REQUIRED.
• High school diploma or equivalent with one year coding/medical records experience preferred.
• Experience with 3M Encoder, Excel and MS4 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Chart assembly and chart analysis coding.
• Computer abstracting of discharged patient records.
• Respond to patients in crisis and act accordingly.
• Retrieve charts from the floor and organize them.
• Check for missing signatures and signatures collection.
• Handle loose filings and maintain filing accuracy.
