Job summary

Aspen Grove Behavioral Hospital in Orem, Utah, is seeking a full-time Coder-Medical Records Specialist to support coding for inpatient and outpatient charts in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Two years' coder experience in Medical Records preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: CPC, CCA or CCS required; RHIA or RHIT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the medical records department with clerical, technical and related tasks.
• Code discharged patients' accounts for inpatient and outpatient visits.
• Prepare charts for discharge and assemble components in the correct order.
• Assigns and abstracts medical and consultant data.
