Job summary

Universal Health Services’ Roxbury Treatment Center in Shippensburg, PA is seeking a full-time Professional Coder and Medical Records Clerk. This Monday–Friday role supports chart assembly, coding, and medical records abstraction for adult behavioral health care and related services.

Requirements include RHIT/CPC certification or equivalent and a high school diploma, with experience in coding or medical records preferred. 3M encoder, MS4 and Excel experience are beneficial.

Qualifications

• Certification as RHIT or CPC is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of coding/medical records experience preferred.
• Experience with 3M encoder, Excel and MS4 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Chart assembly, chart analysis and coding.
• Abstracting of discharged patient medical records.
• Respond to patients in crisis and act accordingly.
• Retrieve charts from the floor and organize them.
• Check for missing signatures and handle loose filings.
