Job summary

Roxbury Treatment Center, a UHS subsidiary, in Shippensburg, PA, is seeking a full-time Professional Coder and Medical Records Clerk. Responsibilities include chart assembly, analysis, coding and abstracting discharged records, with duties spanning crisis response and chart retrieval.

Qualifications include an RHIT or CPC certification, or equivalent, and a high school diploma with coding/medical records experience preferred; experience with 3M encoder, Excel and MS4 is a plus.

Professional Coder And Medical Records ClerkRoxbury Treatment Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc., has been a beacon of hope and healing for over 35 years, serving those struggling with behavioral health and substance use issues. Located in Shippensburg, PA, our 112-bed behavioral health facility offers acute psychiatric, detoxification, and rehabilitation services for adults as well as an adolescent inpatient psychiatric program for youth ages 13-17. We also have two substance use disorder outpatient offices in Carlisle and Chambersburg. Roxbury is currently hiring a full-time Professional Coder and Medical Records Clerk. This is a Monday thru Friday position.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Chart assembly
• Chart analysis
• Coding
• Computer abstracting of all discharged patient medical records
• Responds to patients in crisis and acts accordingly
• Retrieving charts from the floor
• Putting them together
• Checking for missing signature
• Handling loose filings
