Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Field Material Controller for Advanced Manufacturing in Saint Francisville, LA. The role covers materials management of major capital equipment with supervision, focusing on task completion and adherence to plans.

You will support shipments, MRRs, MIRs, and OS&D processes while coordinating with Project Procurement and Materials leads to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Experience with capital equipment material control in large-scale construction is preferred.
• OSHA 10-hour Construction Certificate (OSHA 30 preferred).
• Strong proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of material control processes and tools.
• Review shipment release requests and ensure approvals per PO terms and Material Control Plan.
• Advise stakeholders on shipment releases and the authorization process.
• Administer Material Receiving Reports (MRRs), Material Issue Requests (MIRs), and OS&D reports.
• Maintain material control documentation and registers.
• Identify material control risks and coordinate OS&D resolution.
• Work under supervision with no direct reports.
• Coordinate with project/department personnel to perform material control activities.
