Job summary

Jacobs seeks a Field Material Controller for Advanced Manufacturing to manage major capital equipment materials, under supervision, at a Saint Francisville, LA site. You’ll handle material control transactions, support procurement processes, and ensure task completion within established plans.

You’ll gain exposure to OS&D coordination, shipment releases, MRRs and MIRs, while collaborating with project teams and managers to mitigate risks and drive project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, construction, supply chain, or equivalent project experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in capital equipment material control is preferred.
• 2+ years of hands-on site experience within complex, large-scale construction environments.
• OSHA 10-hour Construction Certificate; OSHA 30 preferred.
• Experience in Advanced Manufacturing projects is ideal.
• Experience using MS Office tools, including Excel.
• 2+ years of experience using Materials Management software/ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of material control processes, procedures, and tools.
• Review Shipment Release Request documents and ensure shipment authorizations comply with PO terms.
• Advise stakeholders on creating and initiating shipment releases and the overall process.
• Administer Material Receiving Reports (MRRs) and Material Issue Requests (MIRs).
• Maintain a materials preservation activity register.
• Evaluate material control problems and apply remedies.
• Maintain material control documentation in a repository.
• Identify material control risks and advise management.
• Coordinate OS&D resolution with project or department personnel.
