Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Field Material Controller for Advanced Manufacturing to manage materials and major capital equipment. The role involves field material control transactions, adherence to procurement plans, and coordination with project teams on-site.

The candidate will support shipments, receiving reports, and material issue requests while maintaining documentation and risk awareness. On-site work in Saint Francisville, LA with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent project experience in business, construction, supply chain, or operations management.
• 2–5 years of capital equipment material control experience preferred.
• 2+ years on-site experience in large-scale construction environments.
• OSHA 10-hour Construction (OSHA 30 preferred).
• Experience with MS Office and inventory/procurement systems.

Responsibilities

• Understand material control processes and supplier relations as applicable to projects.
• Use established policies, procedures, systems and tools to process material control tasks.
• Review shipment release documentation and ensure PO terms and Material Control plans are followed.
• Advise stakeholders on shipment releases and the authorization process.
• Administer MRRs, MIRs and OS&D reports.
• Maintain preservation registers for materials and coordinate OS&D resolutions.
