Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Field Material Controller in Saint Francisville, LA, responsible for material control of major capital equipment and on-site processes within Advanced Manufacturing projects. You will follow established policies and collaborate with the Manager of Material Control and project teams to ensure timely material delivery and receipt.

The role requires 2–5 years of on-site construction material control experience, OSHA certifications, and strong Excel/MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, construction, supply chain, operations management or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of capital equipment material control experience preferred.
• 2+ years of on-site experience within complex, large-scale construction environments.
• OSHA 10-hour Construction Certificate; OSHA 30 preferred.
• Experience with MS Office tools and intermediate to advanced Excel.
• 2+ years with Materials Management software (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Smart Materials).

Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of material control processes, procedures, and tools.
• Review shipment release requests and ensure supplier documentation aligns with PO terms.
• Advise stakeholders on creating shipment releases and understanding the process.
• Administer MRRs, MIRs, and OS&Ds.
• Maintain a materials preservation activity register.
• Identify and address material control risks.
• Coordinate OS&D resolution with project/department personnel.
• Work under close supervision with no direct reports.
