Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Field Material Controller for Advanced Manufacturing in Saint Francisville, LA. You will manage field material control for major equipment and materials under supervision, supporting projects with a focus on accuracy and procedural compliance.

The role emphasizes on-site collaboration, documentation, and coordination with procurement teams, ensuring timely and correct material movements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, construction, supply chain, operations management, or equivalent project experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in capital equipment material control.
• 2+ years of hands-on site experience within large-scale construction environments.
• OSHA 10-hour Construction Certificate (OSHA 30 preferred).
• Experience in Advanced Manufacturing projects is ideal.
• Proficient in MS Office; advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or Smart Materials for inventory and procurement.
• Interest in pursuing Construction Management or Procurement.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of material control processes, procedures, and tools.
• Review shipment release documents and ensure approvals per PO terms.
• Advise stakeholders on shipment releases and authorization processes.
• Administer MRRs, MIRs, and OS&D reports.
• Maintain material preservation records and documentation.
• Identify material control risks and coordinate OS&D resolution.
• Collaborate with project/department personnel on material control activities.
