Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is hiring a Principal Manufacturing Development Engineer to lead projects across value streams. You will develop Manufacturing Data Packages, provide design input and guidance, and apply manufacturing skills to resolve constraints and improve products.

You will act as the manufacturing authority, identify cost/quality improvements, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement. Onsite role in Tucson.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) required with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in manufacturing production and process development or improvement.
• Ability to obtain interim Secret clearance and ATF access as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate projects across extended value streams and build stakeholder relationships.
• Develop Manufacturing Data Packages with assembly instructions and labor standards.
• Provide technical input and peer review to designs and changes.
• Apply manufacturing engineering skills to resolve constraints and improve designs.
• Serve as manufacturing and producibility authority within the program.
• Identify constraints, recommend process improvements, and participate in investigations.
