Job summary

RTX is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Development Engineer for its Tucson, AZ site.

The role focuses on leading manufacturing improvements across value streams, from early development through transition to production, aligning with factory requirements and program decisions. The position requires a STEM degree with at least 5 years of manufacturing experience, plus ability to obtain interim Secret clearance and ATF access.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing production.
• Experience with manufacturing process development or improvement.
• Ability to work on programs requiring special program access.
• Ability to obtain and maintain ATF clearance.
• Ability to obtain interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, tool and fixture designs.
• Provide technical input and peer review to engineering designs and design changes.
• Provide technical guidance and problem solving to factory engineers.
• Apply manufacturing engineering skills across the extended value stream to resolve constraints and improve process and product designs.
