Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ seeks a Sr. Manufacturing Development Engineer to lead and coordinate projects across the extended value streams, providing manufacturing support from early development through transition to production.

The role requires a STEM degree with 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance and interim clearance, and hands-on manufacturing process development, CAD tooling such as CREO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM and minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience working in manufacturing production.
• Experience with manufacturing process development or improvement.
• Ability to obtain and maintain ATF clearance.
• Ability to obtain interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance before start date.

Responsibilities

• Develop Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, tool/fixture designs.
• Provide technical input and peer review to engineering designs and changes.
• Provide technical guidance to factory engineers and solve problems.
• Apply manufacturing engineering skills across the value stream to resolve constraints and improve designs.
