Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the physical aspects of our properties meet high standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will perform repairs, manage make-ready preparations for new residents, and maintain grounds and amenities.

The role requires following safety policies, documenting work, and coordinating with vendors. Candidates must have EPA refrigerant certifications and applicable state/local licenses, with flexibility for travel as needed.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling are required.
• All required state and local jurisdiction certifications must be held by service technicians.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing issues and performing repairs per policy, safety standards and codes.
• Executes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including inspections, punch lists, vendor coordination and supply gathering.
• Manages materials access by tracking inventory, returning unused items, and notifying supervisors for re-ordering needs.
• Documents work and service requests thoroughly to ensure accurate record-keeping and traceability.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, pressure-washing surfaces, painting curbs, and signage as needed.
• Supports cost-control by repairing parts rather than replacing when feasible and using tools and materials efficiently.
