Job summary

CompucomStaffing™, a division of CompuCom® Systems, Inc. is seeking a Level 1 Technician onsite in Bedford, MA to set up and support employee workstations and peripherals. The role involves basic troubleshooting, rapid response to user requests, and clear documentation of recurring issues for leadership.

The position emphasizes customer-focused service, ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, and ensuring equipment is functional before employee use. Onsite work only.

Qualifications

• Experience in desktop support, field services, help desk, or technical support roles preferred.
• Experience setting up and troubleshooting desktop and laptop hardware and peripheral devices.
• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of workstation connectivity and cable management.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and configure employee workstations (docking stations, monitors, cables, peripherals).
• Verify proper functionality of workstation equipment before use.
• Troubleshoot basic hardware and connectivity issues (docking stations, monitors, display settings, keyboard/mouse, power/cables).
• Respond to employee requests for assistance when equipment is not functioning correctly.
• Perform basic cable management and workstation organization.
• Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate support teams.
• Maintain a professional and customer-focused presence while supporting end users.
• Document and communicate recurring issues or equipment concerns to project leadership.
