Job summary

CompucomStaffing, a division of CompuCom Systems, is seeking an onsite Level 1 Technician for the McLean, VA area. You will set up and verify workstations, troubleshoot basic hardware, and assist end users with equipment issues.

Ideal candidates have desktop support experience and strong customer service skills. This role is W2, with a comprehensive benefits package and an emphasis on professional, client-focused support.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in desktop support, field services, help desk, or technical support roles preferred.
• Experience setting up and troubleshooting desktop and laptop hardware and peripheral devices.
• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of workstation connectivity and cable management.

Responsibilities

• Set up and configure employee workstations, including docking stations, monitors, and peripherals.
• Verify proper functionality of workstation equipment prior to employee use.
• Troubleshoot basic hardware and connectivity issues (docking stations, monitors, keyboard/mouse, cables).
• Respond to employee requests for assistance when equipment is not functioning correctly.
• Perform basic cable management and workstation organization.
• Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate support teams.
• Maintain professional, customer-focused presence while supporting end users.
• Document and communicate recurring issues to project leadership.
