Job summary

CompucomStaffing in Bedford, MA seeks a Level 1 Technician to join their team on site. You will set up and troubleshoot workstation hardware, monitors, docking stations, and peripherals for new and existing employees.

The role requires strong customer service, the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, and the skill to escalate complex issues to other teams as needed. W2 employment with comprehensive benefits is provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in desktop support, field services, help desk, or technical support roles preferred
• Experience setting up and troubleshooting: Desktop and laptop hardware
• Experience with peripheral devices
• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of workstation connectivity and cable management
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and configure employee workstations (docking stations, monitors, cables, peripherals)
• Verify proper functionality of workstation equipment prior to employee use
• Troubleshoot basic hardware and connectivity issues (docking stations, monitors, keyboard/mouse, power cables)
• Respond to employee requests for assistance when equipment malfunctions
• Perform basic cable management and workstation organization
• Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate support teams
• Maintain professional, customer-focused support for end users
• Document recurring issues and report to project leadership
