Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking a Legal Billing Specialist for a prestigious law firm in Central Phoenix. This in-office role collaborates with attorneys and staff to ensure accurate, timely billing and robust financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of legal billing experience, strong MS Excel/Outlook/Word skills, and exceptional attention to detail. This role offers an in-office schedule Monday–Friday with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Two years of legal billing experience in a law firm environment.
• Knowledge of attorney billing procedures and best practices.
• Familiarity with legal accounting and billing platforms; experience with PerfectLaw preferred.
• Strong computer skills with MS Excel, Outlook and Word.
• Attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting with competing priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service, verbal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and circulate monthly WIP reports and pre-bills to attorneys and staff.
• Review, adjust, and finalize client billing statements for distribution.
• Manage electronic invoicing submissions, including LEDES billing formats.
• Create and issue special or interim invoices as required.
• Allocate client trust balances toward outstanding invoices.
• Handle accounts receivable adjustments and approved write-offs.
• Provide support for billing operations and financial reporting.
• Assist with processing daily cash receipts and bank deposits.
