Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking a dedicated Legal Billing Specialist to join a prestigious Phoenix law firm in-office. You will manage the billing cycle, generate WIP and pre-bill reports, and support financial reporting to ensure accurate client invoicing.

The role requires at least two years of legal billing experience, strong technical skills in Excel and billing platforms, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of legal billing experience in a law firm.
• Knowledge of attorney billing procedures and best practices.
• Familiarity with legal accounting and billing platforms; PerfectLaw preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and circulate monthly WIP reports and pre-bills to attorneys and support staff.
• Review, adjust, and complete client billing statements for distribution.
• Manage electronic invoicing submissions, including LEDES billing formats.
• Create and issue special or interim invoices as required.
• Allocate client trust account balances toward outstanding invoices.
• Handle accounts receivable adjustments and approved write-offs.
• Provide support for billing operations and financial reporting activities.
• Assist with the processing of daily cash receipts and bank deposits.
