Job summary

Walbridge is seeking an IT Technician to provide hands-on technical support at the job site, ensuring smooth operation of Windows-based systems and hardware in Van Buren Township, Michigan.

The role requires 3+ years in IT support, proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office, readiness to travel out of state when needed, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Training in Detroit will be provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with technical training.
• 3+ years IT support experience in a Windows environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Windows OS; able to document work in ticketing system.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1/2 Windows 11 and hardware support at the job site.
• Deploy desktops, laptops, and peripherals per IT policy.
• Set up onboarding and workstation configurations for new hires.
• Assist with new technology pilots and adopt new tools.
• Troubleshoot basic network issues including VPN and connectivity.
• Research and recommend IT improvements for efficiency and security.
• Deliver end-user training and guidance to staff.
