Job summary

Generac is seeking an Systems Support Specialist II for onsite work at our Berlin, Wisconsin facility. You will provide technical support for desktops, laptops, phones, peripherals and applications, and assist higher-level staff with server hardware, OS, and network issues.

The role requires an Associate degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, plus 2 years of hands-on troubleshooting in a similar environment. Certifications such as MCSE, MCTS, CNA, Avaya or ITIL are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of experience troubleshooting PCs, printers, phones and network issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support by installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading laptops, desktops, phones, printers, bar code scanners and peripherals in an office and manufacturing environment.
• Assist higher level support with local server hardware, OS, network infrastructure and telephony; troubleshoot incidents with customers via phone or virtual means.
• Create documentation on issues resolved, root cause analyses and troubleshooting steps.
• Assist in implementing business systems and manufacturing initiatives delivering configurations and end user desktop support.
• Perform system upgrades and migrations to new applications; follow standards for reporting and troubleshooting.
