GCS Recruitment Specialists in Illinois seeks a reliable IT Support Technician to provide onsite support for Operations facilities, including end-user devices, printers, networking gear, and OT environments. You will follow established procedures and SLAs while delivering hands-on troubleshooting.

This role requires independence, strong troubleshooting skills, and willingness to participate in on-call rotations and site shift schedules.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year hands-on IT support experience
• Experience imaging/deploying laptops and printers
• Experience with Windows 11 and Linux, plus basic networking
• Experience in a ticketing system environment
• CompTIA A+ certification preferred

Responsabilités

• Image, configure, deploy, and maintain laptops and desktop systems
• Provide technical support for Windows 11 and Linux environments
• Troubleshoot hardware, operating system, and application issues
• Support user onboarding and workstation setup activities
• Diagnose and resolve printer issues, including network-connected printers
• Perform basic networking troubleshooting, including connectivity and cabling issues
• Respond to equipment failures and restore service following SOPs
• Assist with asset management and equipment lifecycle activities
• Work assigned tickets and service requests within SLA
• Execute Change Management activities according to established procedures
• Respond to emergent technical events affecting site operations
• Escalate complex issues when needed
