Job summary

Allegheny Science & Technology seeks an IT Customer Support / Field Service Technician to support our DOE customer in Idaho Falls, Idaho. This position is 100% onsite on a 9/80 schedule, focusing on rapid incident resolution, desktop imaging, and hardware maintenance.

You will diagnose problems with users, log tickets, and support DOE-ID computing environments including Windows OS, O365, Office, Teams, and related applications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in Help Desk/Service Desk/Field Technician or active A+ Certification.
• High School Diploma required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to obtain Government BAO clearance and an HSPD-12 badge.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and diagnose problems via discussions with users, including problem recognition, research, isolation, and resolution steps.
• Utilize problem management database and help desk systems.
• Answer the help desk phones, input tickets, troubleshoot problems and assist on DOE-ID environment apps (Windows, O365, Office, Teams).
• Maintain hardware including desktops, laptops, printers, monitors, keyboards, disks and peripherals.
• Image systems, address vulnerabilities, and set up office on latest standards.
• Assist in distributing security patches and ensure timely installation.
