Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an IT Support Technician based out of Scranton, IA, to provide on-site technical support for users and participate in a national IT operations team. The role includes managing escalated tickets and delivering hands-on support for various technical issues.

The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting skills and have experience in IT support roles. This is a contract to hire position offering a pay range of $23.00 - $28.00/hr.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Desktop Support, IT Support, or Help Desk escalation role.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working within a ticketing system and SLA-driven environment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex desktop and end-user issues.
• Manage escalated tickets from the Service Desk.
• Deliver hands-on support for walk-up requests and system issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation of incidents and repairs.
• Monitor desktop performance and provide recommendations for improvements.

Active Directory administration

Microsoft 365 troubleshooting

Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11)

Exchange / email troubleshooting

Device deployment and imaging tools (e.g. Intune, SCCM)

Printer setup and troubleshooting

Mobile device support (iOS, Android)
