Job summary

CompucomStaffing is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide on-site end-user support in Clearwater, FL. The role emphasizes hardware/software maintenance, user accounts, and troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have 3–6 years of deskside experience, basic network troubleshooting, and customer-facing skills. CompTIA A+ is preferred. Company offers a comprehensive benefits package and W2 employment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 to 6+ years of experience supporting PC hardware and software.
• Comfortability providing hands and feet support for server and network is a plus.
• Experience supporting mobile data plans, mobile networks, and devices is a plus.
• Minimum 3+ years of deskside support experience in an enterprise environment.
• Hardware and software support experience.
• Customer facing experience.
• Mobile device support experience.
• Able to train quickly on procedures and should have good IT knowledge base.
• Basic network troubleshooting skills.
• Able to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment with strong personalities, and detail oriented.
• CompTIA A+ certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals
• Documents, maintains, upgrades, or replaces hardware and software systems
• Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security, and systems groups
• Trains employees, identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed
• Resolves network connection issues, track network connections back to network switches
• Escalates problems and issues to a higher level of support if unable to resolve
• Represents the company in a professional and businesslike manner and communicates effectively with customers and associates
• Interacts with customers, responding to routine technical questions or requests for information
