Job summary

TEKsystems in Clinton, IN is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide onsite technical support for a large user base, tackling hardware, software, printers, and connectivity issues with a strong focus on customer service.

You will manage end-user tickets, document resolutions, assist with deployments and upgrades, and collaborate with other IT teams to ensure timely issue resolution in a high‑volume environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
• Relevant technical certifications are a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an IT support, desktop support, or technical support role.
• Experience supporting a large user base in a complex technology environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across hardware, software, and end-user technologies.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated desire to learn, grow, and take ownership of technical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced desktop and end-user support for hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to operating systems, applications, workstations, and connectivity.
• Manage and resolve service desk tickets while meeting established response and resolution targets.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop systems, laptops, printers, and related equipment.
• Support users with productivity applications, collaboration tools, and day-to-day technology needs.
• Assist with device deployments, upgrades, and technology refresh initiatives.
• Escalate complex issues when necessary and collaborate with other technical teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain accurate documentation of issues, resolutions, and support activities.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and technical assistance to end users.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and assist with project-related technical support activities.
