Job summary

Generac is seeking a Systems Support Specialist II to provide hands-on technical support for desktops, laptops, phones, printers, and peripherals at our Oshkosh facility. You will troubleshoot hardware and software, collaborate with IT and manufacturing teams, and help implement business systems.

The role involves incident triage, documentation, and occasional after-hours support in a dynamic environment. On-site work in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of experience troubleshooting PCs, printers, phones and network issues.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred.
• MCSE, MCTS, CNA, Avaya or ITIL certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, repair and upgrade laptops, desktops, phones, printers and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot server hardware, network infrastructure and telephony; assist with Tier 1-2 escalations.
• Create documentation on issues, root cause analyses and troubleshooting steps.
• Assist in implementing business systems and manufacturing initiatives.
• Maintain asset inventory and ensure IT policy compliance.
