Job summary

TEKsystems in McLean, VA seeks an IT Customer Service professional to deliver high-quality technical support for hardware and software, including Windows and Mac systems, printers, and mobile devices. The role requires coordinating with executives and providing on-site and remote support as needed.

Responsibilities include incident tracking, workstation imaging, and on-call availability, with a focus on timely resolutions and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
• Minimum of four years of IT customer service experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong knowledge of PC hardware including laptops, desktops, monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, scanners, fax machines and iDevices.
• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP and LAN switches.
• Experience supporting executive level staff; high level of customer service required.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service while fulfilling IT customer requests or resolving problems.
• Respond to IT support requests promptly and professionally; facilitate quick resolutions.
• Perform installations, upgrades, and decommissioning of IT equipment (laptops, desktops, MFPs, faxes, mobile devices).
• Follow team policies, processes and procedures; use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot hardware, software, or network issues.
• Image and configure workstations per SOPs; provide user support for hardware and software.
• Provide timely updates to incident, request and problem management systems.
• Be available for on-call shifts as assigned.
