Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an experienced IT Technician in Petoskey, MI, to provide end-to-end technical support and ensure an outstanding user experience. You will work onsite on Windows, macOS, and other platforms, handling onboarding, device provisioning, and incident resolution.

You will support Active Directory, Group Policy, and various SaaS tools, including Okta, Slack, Zoom, and Jira, while collaborating with IT teams to maintain images, VPN access, and device deployment.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years of experience in IT support environments.
• Proficient in Windows and macOS desktop support.
• Experience with Active Directory and account management.
• Familiar with Office 365 and G-Suite support.
• Knowledge of SaaS applications (Okta or other SSO, Slack, Zoom, Jira).
• Experience with MDM platforms (JAMF, Kandji, or similar).
• Experience with ticketing systems and queue management.
• Strong hardware/network troubleshooting and VPN support.
• Experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining end-user devices.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the go-to IT support resource and handle end-to-end technical support with focus on user experience.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues and manage support tickets to meet SLAs.
• Own onboarding of new hires, including account creation and equipment setup.
• Support Windows 10/11, macOS, Linux, VDIs, and tablet platforms.
• Provide Active Directory and Group Policy support.
• Support business applications, SaaS tools, and collaboration platforms.
• Troubleshoot and support MDM solutions.
• Maintain and support standard and custom system images.
• Assist with servers, networking, phone systems, and VPN access.
• Document solutions and help improve IT processes and standards.
• Escalate complex issues to appropriate IT teams when needed.
