Job summary

Cutting Edge Computers Inc in Sterling Heights, MI is seeking an Onsite IT Support Specialist to install, configure, and maintain client systems and peripherals, and to resolve hardware and software issues for end users.

You will meet with clients onsite and remotely, respond to tickets, monitor networks, maintain asset inventory, and collaborate with Networking and Systems teams to ensure reliable IT service.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 1–3 years in a customer-focused technical support role.
• Proficiency with help desk software and remote desktop tools.
• Experience supporting Windows and macOS.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure client systems per organizational standards.
• Install and configure software applications according to requirements.
• Deploy and set up PCs and peripheral devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to networks, systems, and hardware.
• Meet with clients onsite and remotely to diagnose issues.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of hardware and software assets.
• Respond to inquiries and provide troubleshooting support to ensure timely resolution.
• Collaborate with Networking, Systems, and Management teams on IT projects.
• Provide basic end-user training and usability guidance.
