Job summary
The University of Utah invites applications for an Information Technology Specialist on campus in Salt Lake City. This full-time, 40-hour-per-week role provides desktop, Windows and Mac support, peripherals, printers and network connectivity, with on-call duties after hours and on weekends in a highly professional environment.
Under supervision from Senior Systems Administrators, you will document issues, support conference room technology, manage tickets, and assist with network documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalency) with related work experience.
- 4+ years of computer support in a professional setting.
- Experience in Windows and Mac OS troubleshooting.
- ITIL Foundations certification or similar preferred.
- A+ MCSE or equivalent certifications beneficial.
- Experience with MDM and conference room technology.
- Familiarity with dispatch systems and JAMF management.
Responsibilities
- Image, configure, deploy and support desktops, laptops, iPad and printers.
- Configure and support conference room technologies and specialized areas.
- Manage and maintain Windows and Apple OS systems.
- Track problems, document settings and solutions in ticketing system.
- Perform inventory, process documentation and project tasks.
- Travel to campus locations for IT support and equipment moves.
- Provide on-call support outside normal business hours.
