Fuel Talent in Palo Alto is seeking an IT Specialist for a hands-on, onsite 12-month contract. You will support approximately 100 employees in a macOS environment and manage a low-volume help desk, with time to proactively improve the IT environment beyond tickets.

The role covers onboarding, device setup, and support for Okta and Google Workspace, macOS, and Windows. Strong customer service and proactive ownership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on corporate IT/help desk experience.
• Strong macOS support; Windows experience required.
• Experience with Okta and Google Workspace.
• Working knowledge of corporate networking and basic troubleshooting.
• Experience with device management and user provisioning.
• Excellent customer-service and communication skills.
• Proactive and forward-thinking approach—you look for ways to help rather than waiting for the next ticket.
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership in an onsite environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day IT support for ~100 employees in a macOS environment.
• Manage a low-volume help desk (≤10 tickets/day) and proactively improve the IT environment.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, accounts, networking, and connectivity issues.
• Manage user onboarding, provisioning, and device setup.
• Support Okta, Google Workspace, macOS and Windows.
• Assist with conference room and office technology needs.
• Document, organize server room, label ports/cabling, and identify improvements.
• Support basic networking and infrastructure needs.
• Partner with IT, Facilities, and other teams on day-to-day tech needs.
