Job summary

Ottimate is seeking an IT Lead to own end-to-end IT operations in Tampa. You will lead a small team, manage Google Workspace, security, device fleets, audits, and scalable processes to support a growing SaaS business.

This in-person role requires hands-on administration, cross-functional collaboration with engineering, security, and people operations, and a strategic view to optimize tools, budgets, and policy compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT support or systems administration, including 2+ years leading IT staff.
• Hands-on experience administering Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with identity providers and configuring SSO/MFA.
• Experience managing SaaS licenses and access.
• Strong organizational skills and advanced spreadsheet abilities.
• Excellent written communication for remote teams.
• Security-first mindset and least-privilege access approach.
• Experience administering Mac, Windows, and Linux endpoints.
• Experience with VPN configuration and maintenance.
• Experience mentoring IT staff and prioritizing requests.

Responsibilities

• Google Workspace Administration.
• Identity & Access Management across our SaaS stack (SSO/MFA).
• SaaS Application Administration and license tracking.
• Asset Management: laptop inventory lifecycle.
• Audit Support for SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI DSS.
• Process Development for IT requests and incident handling.
• Documentation and organization of internal systems and runbooks.
• IT Strategy & Budget including vendor selections.
• Employee Support across time zones and escalation handling.
• Onboarding & Offboarding of employees; provisioning/deprovisioning.
• Endpoint Management for Mac/Windows/Linux; antivirus deployment.
• Network Security & VPN maintenance.
• Device Management (MDM) with ActZero, Jamf, Kandji, Intune.
• Team Leadership: hire, mentor IT Specialists, set priorities.
