Job summary

Datamtx is seeking a locally based IT Infrastructure Engineer to provide onsite, customer-facing support in a Boston area enterprise environment. You will deploy and support Microsoft 365, Intune, and endpoint devices within an MSP delivery model.

You will handle deployments, troubleshooting, and cybersecurity tasks, working closely with the IT Service Desk Manager and MSP teams to ensure seamless operations and rapid issue resolution on-site in greater Boston MA.

Qualifications

• Onsite field engineer with customer-facing responsibilities.
• Experience provisioning and troubleshooting mobile devices and endpoints.
• Familiarity with MSP environments and ticketing systems.
• Knowledge of Entra ID / identity management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite Tier 2/Tier 3 deskside and field support
• Configure, stage, deploy, enroll and troubleshoot laptops, tablets, mobile devices and peripherals
• Perform hands-on Microsoft Intune and iPad/iPhone enrollment activities
• Support onboarding, offboarding, refreshes, inventory and asset handling
• Assist with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, endpoint and identity troubleshooting
• Provide onsite smart-hands support for servers, networking, storage, backup and datacenter equipment
• Execute cybersecurity remediation tasks and evidence collection under the MSP's direction
• Support backup verification, restore coordination and disaster-recovery exercises as assigned
• Troubleshoot wired, wireless, VPN and local connectivity issues
• Document work completely in the designated ticketing and knowledge systems
• Coordinate effectively with the MSP remote resolver groups, vendors and customer stakeholders
