Job summary

The City and County of Denver is hiring an IT Desktop Support Technician II to deliver desktop and software support in a customer‑facing role at the Richard T. Castro Building in Denver.

The position includes hands‑on hardware/software tasks and collaboration with a team to resolve issues and document resolutions. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 4 years of IT desk/legacy system support, with CJIS clearance to be obtained during the probationary period.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4 years of IT experience providing user desktop support.
• CJIS clearance required within probationary period.
• Valid driver’s license at time of application.

Responsibilities

• Install, move, replace, and repair computer hardware and software.
• Document incidents and requests in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintain inventory of equipment and services.
• Support remote and on-site staff.
• Coordinate with vendors for warranty repair of technology hardware.
