Job summary

Sky Systems, Inc. (SkySys) is seeking an onsite IT Support Technician in Waukegan, IL for a long-term contract. The role focuses on end-user IT support, hardware/software troubleshooting, and basic network tasks to keep client environments running smoothly.

You will perform desk-side support, handle peripherals, and assist with LAN/WAN issues while communicating effectively with customers and management. Flexibility with schedules is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years IT infrastructure field support experience.
• Experience installing and troubleshooting desktops, printers, laptops, and peripherals.
• Basic knowledge of enterprise LAN and WAN setups.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Desk-side support and PC break/fix; Windows/macOS/Linux admin.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and RDP.
• Smart hands support for peripherals and networking hardware.
• Strong written and spoken communication with clients and management.
• Ability to meet deadlines and take ownership with urgency.
• Flexible work schedules.
